The national charity organisation Adfam is devoted to changing the lives of families affected by drugs and alcohol. We have a desire to provide an opportunity to be a part of an encouraging and loving family, to take advantage of stable relationships and have good physical and mental health to anybody that has been struck by another person's alcohol and drug abuse.
Drug and alcohol usage encourages physical, emotional and financial imbalances which can destroy family relationships.
We engage family members and caregivers collective participation support to change this course of direction.
What We Value
We are glad to hear family members and frontline workers. We know and understand that the people who face challenges often also have answers . But it's not only support; this program informs and educates family members over devastating effects and how to take a stand in support of drug and alcohol addiction reduction in homes and workplace. We develop abilities, resources, trust and pathways so both groups can assist themselves, their friends, clients and communities.
We're Driven By What Works
The substance use impact on wellbeing and family relationships is both varied and profound. We access our work with close attention and care to what works in the real world. To achieve this, we never underestimate the value of real-life experience as well as formal research evidence and we also embrace evidence in all diversity. Our work is driven by our supporters, colleagues, friends and what they see.
We Are Dedicated To Accomplish Our Goal
We focus on providing the best quality of work to our clients as we are not kidding about our work and our organisation. We promise to treat families and individuals affected by drugs and alcohol with dignity and respect because we know that stigma and prejudice are barriers to recovery and can cause harm.
